It is common to use fresh cut flowers for a wedding. Why not try something entirely different by adding a few elegant dried flowers into your floral arrangements?Adding another component to your centrepieces instead of the standard fresh arrangement can instantly make them more intriguing. The blending of dried components and fresh blossoms to produce a wonderful balance of texture and colour in this arrangement is one of our favourites. You can opt for dried roses or even dried pine cones for an extra aesthetic touch.

Shapely Flower Arrangement
Before you begin arranging, draw a basic shape in your head to assist you decide where to place each flower. Cut stems in tiered lengths to achieve a cone-like shape, with the larger flowers receiving shorter stems. Build a rim around the lip of the vase with the larger blooms. Fill in the gaps with flowers of varying heights, finishing with long-stemmed fillers in the middle.

Hassle-Free Flower Arranging
Start with a Mason jar, a few long-stemmed flowers, and several bunches of fillers for a country-style, easygoing arrangement. Cut the stems to the appropriate blossom height and group the flowers in your hand. Soft pink tulips, white and pink peonies (just one or two are needed to create a statement), pink delphiniums, and purple irises were used. Fill a Mason jar halfway with water. To give the bouquet volume, fill in the gaps with a lot of feverfew and cushion spurge, ensuring the flowers stretch out in all directions.

Traditional flowers like roses or carnations are beautiful on their own, but you can also match them with something unusual. Anthuriums give a splash of colour and a seductive form to this arrangement.

Mixed Flower Arrangement
To make a full flower arrangement with a range of heights, use an hourglass vase. Sort flowers from a pre-mixed arrangement into categories. Gather the flowers with the largest heads in your fist and arrange them in a beautiful group, moving stems up and down to create a pleasant group; this will be the main point of the arrangement. Cut the stems to the desired length and insert them in the vase. Fill the vase halfway with marbles to keep the first flowers in place while you finish the arrangement. Flowers with smaller heads should be added: Short, wispy stems that trail over the vase edges should be inserted first, followed by tall, strong stems.
