Honeymoon

Honey let's fly to the moon= Honeymoon

I first saw Harsh my freshman year when he was performing at a Rutgers South Asian show. He was front and center, and immediately caught my attention, but I had no idea who he was, what his name was,or if I’d ever see him again. I ran into Harsh on two separate occasions throughout the year, but neither encounter translated into anything more than a “hi”. I decided to reach out to Harsh via FB Messenger and asked him for his number, to which we planned our first date, and hundreds more thereafter.

Harsh and I tried to hide the relationship from our friends so we proceeded to change the names in our phone to “MP3” and “Squirt” (no it did not work, and yes we still have the same names saved in our phones till this very day). After countless dates at On The Border, Harsh decided to drag our closest friends and family on a 12 hour, 1,300 mile road trip to the highest point in the East Coast where the sunrise first hits the United States to propose to me. It was one of the happiest moments of my life, and allowed us to move on to the next chapter of our lives. Reflecting back, time really does fly when you’re spending it with the ones you love.

Honeymoon

Fiji has always been my dream honeymoon destination and when harsh told me that we were also going to Australia and New Zealand I was over the moon. He planned a 3 weeklong honeymoon of my dreams. We also considered Bora Bora which came out to be as much as Fiji but we also love adventure and saw that Fiji with Austral and New Zealand was a better option since we get to relax for the first half and get to be a little adventurous for our second half.

In Fiji we stayed out Namale Resport and Spa (All inclusive for 7 nights and 8 days)

New Zealand - sky city grand hotel

Sydney –Sydney Harbour marriot

In Fiji we were there to mainly relax after our 600 guests wedding. Our package included 8 massages and we also took advantage of all of their in resort excursions, which included horse back riding on the beach and to their coconut farm, Hiking to their waterfalls, Tidepool and Reef walks and many more.

New Zealand – Auckland we took a fairy to Waiheke Island where to went on a winery/olive oil tour.

Sydney – We took a tour of the opera house and it was amazing, learned about the rich history and all the different artists the played there. Also walked along the famous Sydney Harbour bridge and watched the sunset over the Harbour

Melbourne – We did a 1 Day Great Ocean Road & 12 Apostles Tour, which was by far the best end to our trip. We saw Koalas in their natural habitat, visits the 12 apostle, road along the coast and so much more.

Restaurant:

Fiji was all-inclusive but they literally accommodated our dietary needs until the day we left.

New Zealand

We had two favorite spots one was a simple hole in the wall pizza spot that we fell in love with called Toto pizza by far the best pizza we had.The second spot was Sidart. Here we got 15 course meal prepared by the chef and owner. This restaurant has won restaurant of the year many times.

Sydney

Our High end restaurant was Quay. This was by far an amazing experience. The restaurant was over looking the Sydney opera house and the harbour. A local restaurant we loved was Bloody Mary’s this was a great brunch spot.

Melbourne – One great local restaurant was the Chin Chin Go Go and another small hole in the wall restaurant was Taco Bill, great Mexican food.

Most romantic moment:

Our most romantic moment(s) were all the amazing surprise meals that Namala Resort in Fiji set up for us each day at their secret locations.  We had some amazing views of the waterfalls while we had our lunch, or amazing sunrise breakfasts, and romantic dinners all over the resort.

Advice: This was by far a trip i would remember for the rest of my life I never thought I would be able to travel to three different place but It was the best choice. If you can do all three in one shot so worth it. You are already on the other side of the world might as well knock out whatever you can.

In Fiji – we picked the number one resort in Fiji and it definitely was worth every penny. We upgraded the last 4 days to a big Villa which you do not need to because you are barely in it. But we got luck and they offered us a great deal so we took the offer and stayed in one whole day and did nothing but enjoy it.

New Zealand- We went to Auckland only wish we got to travel around new Zealand and experience it a little more

Sydney – not much to do besides the opera house and the bridge don’t need 4 days we would have done with 3

Melbourne – Best part of the trip was the tour along the coast definitely worth the full day experience for the price
